When you're 40, the skin on your face gets a bit older and it starts looking wrinkled. A little younger. But the wrinkles don't stop there. This is where anti-aging comes in

First of all, you have to get rid of pigmentation (or at least reduce its appearance). That means using retinol or similar products to clear up the skin. I recommend you have them done while being consistent with your routine. Retinol also can be used topically. It's usually applied as a night cream. Even though you apply it by yourself, it works the same way as going for a facelift.

Also, go for lightening creams, like EltaView's brighten. These are made out of vitamin C which helps smooth out the wrinkles on your skin. If you have an aging pigmentation (or have just noticed that your skin has lost some fat), then these products might work.

Otherwise, make sure the skin looks smoother after doing so. The last step would probably be the most important one. Go for Botox injections. They can help prevent wrinkles from forming, if you do it more than once, your skin will look smoother and even younger. There's no reason to stress about the injections because after a few days, your skin will begin looking rejuvenated and younger.

Of course, anti-aging should be taken care of but not necessarily at the same time. In my opinion, a good anti-aging product is something you see every day in your bathroom mirror but not only with your own eyes.

Always remember to cover your head, shoulders, back, and arms with a moisturizer to ensure that your dry skin doesn't appear oily. A lotion or serum can also help to lock moisture in the skin which it can later fade away. Those two things can burn the hair when you apply them or if you use those products often, you won’t get the best results.

When you feel good and your skin looks brighter and healthier, you should be careful with what you do because certain products can make you look even worse. Some skin treatments contain toxic ingredients which can actually strip your skin and make it look tired, puffy, even irritated. Be aware of those risks and keep your skin protected.

Here are some other tips on keeping your skin healthy and young:

1- Avoid overuse of harsh cleansers. You shouldn’t use it more than twice in a week. Make sure you use mild cleansers and don't put anything on your clothes. Your skin needs extra tenderness from daily exfoliation and scrubbing so that it stays hydrated. It can also be very drying so always keep the water bottle in sight.

2- Use cold pressed lemon juice instead of drinking it.

3- Massage the areas around your face to create a soothing effect instead of rubbing.

4- Wear gloves when applying your oils to keep your hands safe and avoid touching the faces.

5- Exfoliate to reduce the buildup. It may be difficult to remove dead cells and dirt under your skin as they become clogged. Exfoliating with lemon juice and sugar scrubs may help to break down the surface.

6- Do some exercise and don’t neglect your body. Take walks with your kids or friends or go for a run for fresh air.
